Leeds United have officially announced the loan signing of midfielder Liam Bridcutt from Sunderland.

Whites boss Steve Evans has been chasing Bridcutt for several weeks and following talks last night at the club's Thorp Arch training ground has finally got his man, with the midfielder penning a loan deal to run until the start of January.

Bridcutt has not played a single senior game for Sunderland this season and was made available for transfer by Black Cats boss Sam Allardyce.

The Chelsea youth product is now relishing the chance to enjoy regular minutes on the pitch with Leeds.

He told the club's site: "This is a great opportunity for me to get some games.
