Former Manchester United midfielder Ravel Morrison could soon leave Lazio because of his deteriorating relationship with coach Stefano Pioli.

The highly rated Manchester United youth academy product has had a chequered career to date. Despite his talent, the Red Devils sold him to West Ham in 2012 because of his off-field troubles.

However, he didn’t settle at West Ham either and bounced around at clubs such as Cardiff and QPR before leaving the Hammers last year to agree a contract with Lazio for a summer move.

Morrison was looking forward to a fresh start in Italy, but has failed to impress Pioli and has only appeared six time for Lazio this season, leading to speculation that all is not well between the coach and the player.

According to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, the relationship has deteriorated to such an extent that Morrison could be on his way out of Lazio soon in the near future.

Pioli has not provided enough opportunities to the former Hammer and Morrison feels he has done enough to get more minutes under his belt this season at the Stadio Olimpico.

The midfielder still shares a good rapport with the club hierarchy and it remains to be seen whether they manage to repair the equation between him and the Lazio coach before the player decides to pack his bags.

He has a contract until 2019 with the Biancocelesti.
