Leeds United legend Eddie Gray believes Steve Evans will only sign players who can slot straight into the starting eleven.

With the loan window is closing today, Leeds are in the market to bring in several players to bolster their squad for the second half of the season and Evans is expected to be busy sewing up a few deals.

Sunderland midfielder Liam Bridcutt is expected to join Leeds on a loan deal and the Whites are looking to tie up a few more moves before the window slams shut later today.

While Gray is expecting Leeds to be busy today, he believes Evans won’t sign anyone for the sake of adding numbers to his squad and only expects the Whites boss to bring in players who can improve the starting eleven.

The Leeds United legend said on LUTV: “I don’t think Steve will bring in players for the sake of it.
