Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino believes goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and striker Harry Kane want to stay at Spurs.

The duo have been instrumental in Spurs’ incredible run in the league this season and have garnered interest from various clubs, including Sunday’s opponents Chelsea for Kane.

The Argentine explained that interest from big clubs reflects the duo’s outstanding performances in recent times.

Kane was a surprise starter in last night’s Europa League win over Qarabag, even with the derby clash against the Blues less than 72 hours away. However, the striker’s inclusion in the line-up paid dividends as he nodded in the winner in the 78th minute to ensure qualification for the White Hart Lane outfit with a game to spare.

Pochettino reiterated that the duo are happy at the club and are looking to win trophies with the team.

Speaking in an interview with ITV following his side’s win over Qarabag, Pochettino said: "I am happy that a big club want our players – this is because they show they are a top player with top performances. It is good when they are linked.

"But Harry, like Hugo Lloris, wants to stay here. He is one of the best players and he is very happy.

“He wants to grow up with us and try the next few years to try for the top four and win titles with Tottenham. This is his challenge."

Tottenham take on Chelsea on Sunday as they look to close the gap on the top four and will be hoping to continue their club record unbeaten run of 12 games in the league.
