Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says he is not yet sure whether Christian Benteke will be able to play against Swansea City on Sunday.

Benteke started against Bordeaux in the Europa League last night and helped the Reds secure a 2-1 win, winning his side a penalty and also scoring.

All eyes are now on whether Benteke starts against the Swans on Sunday, but Klopp is not sure whether the Belgian is yet ready to play two games in three days.

And before Liverpool play Swansea, Klopp will assess the former Aston Villa man.

"I don't know in this moment if Christian can play two games in three days. So we have to see", the German told a press conference.

Klopp also addressed Daniel Sturridge's latest injury setback, a foot niggle, which he believes is not serious.

"Now we can say that it is not serious, but we have to stay patient. That is how it is."

Meanwhile, despite Liverpool being only eight points off the top of the Premier League table, Klopp will not look beyond the side's next game, feeling it would not be beneficial for his team.

The German said: "I don't know in this moment who will win the league and I don't care.

"At this moment it's only important to be concentrated on your own situation and your progress.

"If it would help to think about the end of the season I would do it", Klopp added.

Liverpool are next in action at home against Swansea City on Sunday and will be aiming to collect all three points from the fixture.
