Molde youngsters Ola Husby and Kristian Strande have travelled to England to train at Sheffield United, according to Norwegian daily the Stavanger Aftenblad.

The duo will train with Sheffield United’s development side for 10 days and are also due to play two friendly matches for the League One side.

Husby and Strande, both aged 18, approached their advisor Sverre Mauseth to try their luck in England.

And when Sheffield United scout Peter Rose came to watch Molde’s game against Floro in October, Mauseth contacted the Englishman over the possibility of the two starlets training with the Blades.

As a result, Sheffield United agreed to hand trials to Husby and Strande.

“The boys approached me in the summer and asked me to probe the possibility of them playing in England, since none of them has a contract with Molde”, Mauseth said.

“Sheffield now want to see them in trials. They are there for ten days.”

Strande, who is delighted to receive the opportunity to train in England, explained that he will give his all to impress at Bramall Lane.

“I'm heading over to give my everything. I think it will be interesting to train with new players”, he explained.

“I'm not thinking much about the possibility of getting a contract, we will consider them when the time comes.”

Husby also echoed his team-mate’s views as he believes the short stint in England will make them better footballers.

“It's great to get such a chance in a former top club”, he said.

“It's good for us to go out and gather some experience. This stay will anyway make us better football players.”

The two friendlies the pair are set to play for Sheffield United will be against Birmingham City and Sheffield Wednesday on 27th November and 5th December respectively.
