West Ham boss Slaven Bilic has revealed that either Alex Song or Pedro Obiang will start against West Bromwich Albion in a Premier League game on Sunday, in the absence of skipper Mark Noble.

Noble picked up yet another yellow card in the 4-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur last weekend and is hence suspended from the West Brom game.

As a result, either Song and Obiang, who have both endured spells on the sidelines this season, could start against the Baggies.

Song made his first appearance of the season in the drubbing at White Hart Lane, while summer signing Obiang has missed the Hammers’ last three league fixtures with a quadriceps injury.

And Bilic, who welcomed the pair back into first team fray, however, explained that Song’s case is different as the Cameroonian was out of action for a much longer time.

"Alex Song had a long time out, and now we have two players coming back – him and Pedro Obiang", he said at a press conference.

"Pedro is back in training and looks good. Alex played ten minutes against Spurs and he looks good in training too.

"His break was much longer than Pedro's so his situation is slightly different. Probably one of them will play because we are without our captain Mark Noble.”

West Ham are currently sixth in the Premier League with 21 points.
