Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho feels Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has no reason to moan about his side's scheduling difficulties.

The north London side played against Qarabag last night in the Europa League and returned to England after a long flight from Azerbaijan only in the early hours of this morning.

The Tottenham boss moaned about the scheduling and explained how it was unfair on his team that Chelsea are getting two extra days to prepare for Sunday’s clash.

Mourinho has rubbished all of Pochettino’s complaints and cited the instance when Chelsea played a Champions League semi-final tie without getting help from the Premier League with regards to their schedule.

And he stressed the fact that the tie against Atletico Madrid was towards the end of the season, when it is expected to be more difficult for players to overcome fatigue.

When asked whether Chelsea are at an advantage because of Tottenham’s schedule, Mourinho said in a press conference: “No.

“Because we played in the CL final with Atletico Madrid on Wednesday and Tuesday and we played Liverpool in the weekend.

"Our country [the Premier League] decided that we won’t have any problems playing on Saturday or Sunday, why should it be a problem for Tottenham?

“And the Champions League semi-final was played towards the end of the season.”

Tottenham earned a thrilling 5-3 win over Chelsea at White Hart Lane in the corresponding fixture last season.
