Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo will battle against arch-rival Lionel Messi and Neymar for the 2015 Ballon d’Or, which will be announced at a gala in Zurich on 11th January 2016.

Ronaldo has won the coveted award for the last two years and will be hoping to complete a hat-trick.

The Portuguese already has three Ballon d’Ors to his name and should he win this year’s ultimate prize, he would draw level with Lionel Messi on four.

The FC Barcelona sensation won four consecutive Ballon d’Ors between 2009 and 2012, but after a two-year absence is odds-on favourite to reclaim the prize.

The diminutive Argentine has been in sensational form this year, leading his club to the treble last season.
