Leeds United chairman Massimo Cellino is at the club's Thorp Arch training base today.

The Italian businessman, who is taking a close interest in the development of the club's young talents, is there to take in Leeds Under-21s' game against Crewe Alexandra, according to BBC Radio Leeds.

Cellino is currently in the midst of fighting a Football League ban which would prevent him from running the Yorkshire giants for a period of over 200 days.

The Italian is challenging the ban and it has even been suggested he could take his appeal as far as the European court as he attempts to maintain his grip at Elland Road.

On the pitch, Leeds went down to a 1-0 defeat away at QPR in the Championship on Saturday and are now only four points clear of the relegation zone.

Cellino chose to make a managerial change earlier this season when he sacked former Wigan Athletic manager Uwe Rosler.

The German's replacement is fiery former Rotherham United boss Steve Evans, who has vowed to keep the club well clear of a relegation dogfight.
