West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic has admitted that he is concerned about Diafra Sakho’s injury.

The striker picked up the injury during the 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion yesterday, and had to be replaced immediately.

And Bilic, whose side are already without Dimitri Payet and Enner Valencia, explained that Sakho will undergo tests this week to determine the severity of the injury, which he feels is muscle problem.

The Croatian tactician further added that Payet, Valencia and Sakho are all attacking players, so it will be difficult to replace the attacking trio.

“We still have to wait and the specialist will see him to give an opinion. It looks like a muscle injury and the first news is not the best. It is a big blow”, Bilic told the club’s official site.

“You can see injuries in every club and to be fair the number who are missing is not a lot, but the ones missing are key players who play in the same position. It is very hard to replace them.”

Sakho has already endured a spell on the sidelines in the present campaign as a thigh injury forced the Senegalese striker to miss two league fixtures for West Ham.

The 25-year-old, who returned to action in the 4-1 drubbing to Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the month, has scored five goals in 14 appearances in all competitions for the Hammers this season.
