La Liga Celta Vigo are looking at the option of signing out-of-favour Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes.

The former Barcelona man joined the club in January last year on an 18-month contract and even made two appearances towards the end of last season, but things have turned sour between the player and manager Louis van Gaal.

The Dutchman accused the Spaniard of not being ready to follow the club’s collective philosophy and banished him from the first team squad. The World Cup winner has been training alone at Manchester United since last summer.

Valdes is keen to end his Manchester United nightmare as soon as possible and it seems he has found a taker back home in Spain as according to Radio Nacional Galega, Celta Vigo are keen to snap him up this January.

The former Barcelona man has very little of hope getting back to Van Gaal’s good books and is expected to be ready to move back to Spain to restart his career in familiar surroundings.

Despite playing very little football since the end of the 2013/14 season, Celta Vigo are confident that Valdes remains a top goalkeeper and are ready to take a gamble on the 33-year-old.

With the January transfer window just a month away, it seems Valdes’ bitter experience at Manchester United has entered its last legs and he could be on his way back to his homeland.
