Leeds United defender Liam Cooper feels the players understand the fans’ frustrations, following yet another defeat at the hands of QPR in the Championship.

The Whites have lost three of their last five fixtures and currently linger in 17th position in the Championship, having amassed only 19 points from 18 games this season.

Steve Evans’ side went down to Neil Warnock’s men at Loftus Road as Charlie Austin came off the bench to head home the winner with his first touch of the game.

Cooper expressed his disappointment over the result against the London outfit and has urged his team-mates to work hard and get a result against their next opponents.

Speaking in an interview with LUTV, Cooper said: “Yes, always [we understand the fans’ frustration].

“They have obviously paid good money to come and watch us and it’s never nice going away losing.

“We are a little bit disappointed, so I can’t imagine what the fans feel.

“But we have got to get on the training ground next week, work hard and we go against one of the leaders [Hull City] next week.”

The Elland Road outfit host fourth placed Hull City on Saturday and will be looking to move up the table with a win over the Tigers.

The Whites finished last season in 15th position, but will be looking to improve on their position this season.
