Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has rubbished speculation surrounding his future and said that he is yet to contemplate leaving the club.

Robben has been a star at Bayern Munich for the last few years and has played a definitive role in the club dominating German football in recent times. He even scored the winning goal in the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund in 2013.

Reports in England in recent days suggested that Manchester United are planning an audacious bid to take the Dutch winger to Old Trafford and Louis van Gaal is keen to see his compatriot wear the Red Devils colours.

However, Robben stressed that he and his family are well settled in Bavaria and the idea of leaving the German champions is yet to cross his mind.

The winger was quoted as saying by Dutch outlet Voetbal Primeur: “I and my family are happy in Munich.

“My contract runs until the 2017 and in football you cannot look too far ahead. But at this moment, everything is good. I hope I can play for a number of years.”

He revealed that he didn’t even think about leaving the club even after suffering the bitter disappointment of losing the Champions League final to Chelsea at the Allianz Arena in 2012 and is keen to continue at the club for some years to come.

“I have never thought about transfer.

"Neither after the losing the Champions League final [in 2012], nor afterwards.

"I felt at home in Munich, even after such a big disappointment. In such situations, you have to be a man, you should stand up and fight back.

“I am very happy that I am still here.”
