The agent of Liverpool left-back Alberto Moreno admits that his client would be interested in talking with Real Madrid if Los Blancos could come to an agreement with the Reds, however he stressed that the Merseyside club are still giants of the game and must be respected.

Moreno has been linked with Real Madrid amid suggestions that the Spanish giants are looking to sign a new left-back.

While Moreno struggled to win the favour of Brendan Rodgers at Anfield, the appointment of Jurgen Klopp has seen the Spaniard again trusted in the first team and the German boss is a big fan.

Asked if his client would welcome the chance to play for Real Madrid by Spanish radio station 4G, agent Javier Moya replied: "If an important team like Real Madrid talk to us and Liverpool were satisfied with the deal, one could speak.

"If a team with the stature of Real Madrid made an offer, it would be a joy for him", Moya added.

However, Moreno's agent continued: "It's complicated [to move in January].

"Everyone knows the importance of Real Madrid, but Liverpool have five European Cups.

"First you have to present yourself to Liverpool."

Liverpool moved to snap up Moreno from La Liga side Sevilla in the summer of 2014, earmarking the player as a long-term solution at left-back.

The Spaniard made 41 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool last season, scoring two goals and providing his team-mates with two assists.
