Mark Warburton wants Rangers to fully focus on their upcoming game against Raith Rovers at the weekend, following the Gers’ 4-0 thumping of Dumbarton last night.

Rangers ran out comfortable winners at Ibrox, courtesy of goals from Jason Holt, Martyn Waghorn, Nathan Oduwa and Andy Halliday.

The victory also helped Rangers to consolidate their place at the top of the Scottish Championship table with 40 points from 15 games, three ahead of their nearest rivals Hibernian.

And Warburton, who was pleased with the Gers’ outing against Dumbarton, however, urged his side not to rest on their laurels, with a trip to Stark's Park looming on the horizon.

“It is a very pleasing result, we are three points clear and the focus now is Saturday”, the manager explained to the club’s official site.

“You saw tonight with nine men behind the ball and Raith will be a tough test, there is no doubt they are a good quality team and we had to be very good on the day to beat them in September.”

Rangers, who have lost just once in the league this season, thumped Raith Rovers 5-0 in the corresponding fixture in September, with Waghorn bagging a brace from the spot and Lee Wallace, James Travernier and Barrie McKay being the other scorers at Ibrox.
