West Ham United goalkeeper Adrian has insisted that his side are a confident unit heading into their clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday.

The Hammers, who have defeated big clubs such as Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City away from home this season, are however in the midst of a slump.

Slaven Bilic’s men have managed to pick up just two points from their last four Premier League outings as they slid down to eighth in the standings with 22 points from 14 games.

But Adrian, whose side were held to a 1-1 draw by West Bromwich Albion last weekend, feels West Ham can still acquire a positive result at Manchester United by putting in a great performance.

“We have plenty of confidence going to play there and I think we can show a great performance and get a good result”, the Spaniard explained to the club’s official site.

“We are playing well but sometimes we are a bit unlucky and it was the same against West Brom last weekend. I believe we can get good results if we are playing to our top level.”

West Ham are currently without the services of Dimitri Payet, Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia, but Adrian has backed the squad players to rise up to the occasion in the attackers’ absence.

“It is always disappointing to miss players like Dimitri Payet and Diafra Sakho but we have a good squad of players who can come into the starting eleven.

"We have many players in attack and I have confidence in all of them”, he added.
