Napoli are interesting in signing Manchester United and Arsenal linked defender Daniele Rugani in the January transfer window.

After an impressive loan stint at Empoli last season, Rugani was expecting to take giant strides at Juventus this term, but just two minutes of football suggest that things have not gone according to plan.

The 21-year-old defender is claimed to be feeling frustrated in Turin these days and Premier League giants such as Manchester United and Arsenal are believed to be keen to snare him away from Juventus in January.

A number of Italian clubs are also said to be keen to sign him on loan and according to Italian broadcaster Canale 9, Napoli are ready to make a bid for him in January to take him to the San Paolo.

The Serie A club are not looking to sign him on loan, but it has been suggested that they are ready to offer €18m in order to take him permanently to Napoli during the winter window.

Juventus have been reluctant to even consider a loan option for Rugani and are unlikely to entertain any bids for the young defender in January, despite him playing very little football this season.

The Italian champions feel Rugani is the future leader of their defence and are said to be keen to provide him more football after the winter break to keep him happy at the club.

Rugani has a contract until 2020 with the Bianconeri.
