Kyle Lafferty could be on his way back to Palermo despite interest in his services from Leeds United.

The Northern Ireland international wants to be playing regular first team football ahead of Euro 2016 next summer and is expected to quit Norwich City in the winter transfer window as a result of his limited game time at Carrow Road.

Leeds boss Steve Evans has made clear his desire to take Lafferty to Elland Road, but may be fighting a losing battle against the Italians.

According to Italian sports daily Corriere dello Sport, Lafferty is now back in fashion as an attacking option for Palermo.

The Serie A side are looking to add extra firepower to their squad in the new year and know Lafferty well.
