Juventus are considering a move for Monaco forward Stephan El Shaarawy in January, according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato.

The 23-year-old is currently on a season-long loan deal at Monaco from AC Milan, with the Ligue 1 team having the option to make the move permanent for €14m at the end of the season.

However, Monaco would also be obliged to pay the amount if El Shaarawy, who has scored three times this season, plays a minimum of 25 games in the current campaign.

As a result, Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim has used El Shaarawy sparingly, with the Italian international thus far making 24 appearances for the French side.

The situation has infuriated both AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani and the player, who is contemplating a move to Juventus.

El Shaarawy has already held talks with Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri, under whom he played during his time at Milan.

And with Simone Zaza set to leave Juventus in January, the Italian champions are also on the lookout for a forward.

Fellow Serie A clubs Roma and Fiorentina are also monitoring the situation of El Shaarawy, who wants to play regularly to be a part of Italy’s Euro 2016 squad.
