Leeds United legend Eddie Gray has warned that the Whites could end up losing players over the course of the current transfer window, while they must only bring in players who are certain to slot straight into the team.

Head coach Steve Evans is keen to bolster his squad in anticipation of a second half of the season push to finish in a playoff place and has been in talks with club owner Massimo Cellino.

While Evans wants to make signings, there are question marks over whether on loan midfielder Liam Bridcutt and contract rebel Sam Byram will remain at the club and Gray warned there could be departures.

Asked about potential signings on LUTV, Gray struck a cautious note and said: "He could lose a few, Bridcutt, Byram, it all depends on what's available [in terms of additions]."

And the Leeds legend is clear that the Whites should only sign players who are going to be put straight into the team.
