Lazio are considering making a move this month for Liverpool defender Kolo Toure, according to Italian daily Il Messaggero.

The Serie A side are determined to sign another central defender in the current transfer window and are assessing a number of options.

Liverpool's Toure, who is well down the pecking order at Anfield, has emerged as a genuine option for the club.

It does however remain to be seen whether Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp would be prepared to part with the defender midway through the campaign.

Lazio are also considering former Genoa defender Andreas Granqvist.
