Leeds United boss Steve Evans has revealed that the Whites are in talks with Norwich City over signing striker Kyle Lafferty.

The Northern Ireland international was linked with Leeds last month and is keen to play regularly ahead of Euro 2016 this coming summer, something which has not been the case at Carrow Road.

Lafferty, who has also attracted interest from French side Saint-Etienne and Italian outfit Palermo, is good friends with Leeds winger Stuart Dallas and has been tipped for a move to Elland Road.

And speaking in his press conference following Leeds' 1-1 draw with MK Dons on Saturday, Evans admitted that the two clubs are in talks over the striker.

"I understand Kyle Lafferty watched the game. He must have bought a ticket!" Evans joked.

"He’s a Norwich player and the clubs are having a chat. We’ll see where it goes."

The Leeds boss is keen to bring in another striker in the current transfer window as he looks to hand his side extra firepower to charge a push up the Championship standings.

Minus the injured Chris Wood, Leeds looked toothless at times against MK Dons and needed to rely on a bizarre own goal to earn a share of the spoils from the game.

Lafferty may be keen to try and add to the Whites' attacking threat while also featuring regularly ahead of next summer's showpiece in France.
