Everton and Bournemouth are eyeing a move for AC Milan custodian Diego Lopez during the January transfer window.

The Spaniard joined the Rossoneri from Real Madrid in 2014 and while he was their first choice goalkeeper last season, he lost his place to 16-year-old prodigy Gianluigi Donnarumma this term and is currently nursing an injury.

With first opportunities limited, the Spaniard is said to be considering leaving AC Milan during the January transfer window and it has been suggested that he has takers in the Premier League.

According to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, the Premier League duo of Everton and Bournemouth are keen to take the experienced Spanish custodian to England during the winter window.

Both are looking to strengthen their goalkeeping reserves for the second half of the season and believe Lopez could be an ideal candidate to add to their squad in the middle of the campaign.

While he is not playing regularly, it remains to be seen whether the Rossoneri are ready to lose an experienced player such as Lopez in the middle of the season and put their complete faith in young Donnarumma.

The 34-year-old has a contract until 2018 with the club and has not played this term since their 1-1 draw at Torino on 17th October.
