Arsenal linked defender Daniele Rugani’s agent has conceded that Juventus are in no mood to sell the young centre half during the January transfer window.

The defender has struggled for minutes at Juventus after an impressive loan spell at Empoli last season and there is speculation that he could be keen to leave the club this month.

Premier League giants Arsenal are rumoured to be keen to snare the young defender away from Juventus and even Napoli are making a play to sign him, but the Bianconeri are so far remaining unmoved.

His agent, Davide Torchia, admits that Juventus are in no mood to give in and revealed his client’s frustration about making another substitute appearance earlier this week against Hellas Verona, when he was expected to start.

The defender agent told Radio CRC: “Juventus will not give in.

“Everyone expected that yesterday [Wednesday] he would be playing in place of [Andrea] Barzagli, but it didn’t happen.”

Torchia revealed Napoli’s interest in Rugani, but conceded that Juventus are not prepared to sell the defender at any price this month.

He continued: “Juventus do not want to sell him; there are no figures they are willing to take.

“Napoli hold the boy in high esteem and it is pleasing [for Rugani].”
