Sampdoria, Valencia and Sevilla have joined the chase for Liverpool target Andrea Ranocchia in the current transfer window.

The former Inter Milan captain is struggling to find minutes under Roberto Mancini this season and owing to his reduced role at the club, Ranocchia is believed to be keen to leave the San Siro this month.

Liverpool contacted the Nerazzurri over the possibility of signing the defender and have reportedly tabled a €9m bid for the 27-year-old, but they are not the only ones who are currently in the chase for Ranocchia.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Sampdoria and Valencia have recently entered the chase for the Italian defender and even Sevilla are keeping a close watch on proceedings at the San Siro.

It has been suggested that Torino are also keen on Ranocchia, but they will only move for the Inter defender if they lose centre half Nikola Maksimovic this month.

Ranocchia has already refused an offer to move to England with Norwich City, and is currently assessing all the options before he decides to make a final commitment during the January transfer window.

The Nerazzurri have left the final decision on the player, and are waiting for him to take the call on his future.
