Rangers manager Mark Warburton is looking for new signing Harry Forrester to kick start his career at Ibrox after making what the Englishman believes were bad career decisions.

Forrester signed a six-month contract with Rangers earlier this month and joins the Scottish giants from Doncaster Rovers for an undisclosed fee.

The winger started his career at Watford, but moved to Aston Villa while still a youth player. He spent time on loan at Kilmarnock before joining up with Brentford, where Warburton took a look at his talents, while in 2013 Forrester headed for Doncaster.

Warburton appreciates the 25-year-old's quality, but feels he must get his career back on track after poor choices.

The Rangers manager told a press conference: "Harry is a talented technical player, who has a very good CV in terms of where he has been.

"I think he would be the first to say and agree with me that he made a couple of poor career decisions, but he showed us at Brentford what he is capable of and what he can do.

"He came here and he impressed in training. He has a chance and an opportunity to come here and impress. I hope he takes that chance and I’m sure he will do", Warburton added.

Forrester will be hoping to be involved for Rangers on Sunday when Cowdenbeath provide the opposition in a Scottish Cup tie at Ibrox.
