Steve Evans feels the television companies would love to broadcast Leeds United facing non-league outfit Eastleigh in the FA Cup.

The Whites, who defeated Rotherham United 2-0 at the weekend, will face the winners between Bolton Wanderers and Eastleigh in a replay next Tuesday after their third round FA Cup match ended in a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

Leeds are one of the most broadcasted teams in the Championship, which prompted owner Massimo Cellino to ban Sky TV from entering Elland Road to cover the Derby County game in late December as he felt too much television coverage was the reason behind the faltering attendances at the ground; the Yorkshire giants however reluctantly allowed Sky TV to cover the match in the end.

And Evans, who is aware that Leeds are a big draw with live broadcasters, believes the television companies will be very interested in covering his side’s fourth round FA Cup match if Eastleigh manage to oust Bolton.

“The television companies won’t be announcing too many live games until it concludes Eastleigh or Bolton because Leeds United as we know from recent discussions are a big draw with television companies.

"I’m sure they would love to have us on the air on a live game away to a non-league club”, Evans said on BBC Radio Leeds.
