Manchester City defender Martin Demichelis believes that catching up on league leaders Arsenal is in no way impossible, but the most important thing will be to fight until the end to win the league title.

Arsene Wenger's side dropped points against Liverpool last night, thus helping third placed Manchester City keep the gap to just three points at the top of the table.

Though the Citizens themselves weren't too better either, managing only a goalless draw against Everton on the same night, the Argentine believes that bridging the gap is in no way impossible.

The Gunners now have a tough away fixture Stoke City, which the defender believes will give the Citizens a golden opportunity to bridge the gap at the top of the table.

"I think it was important Arsenal didn't win and we are just three points behind the leaders", Demichelis was quoted as saying by ITV.

"We must continue the fight until the end and we have a lot of games to recover three points, but we need as soon as possible to win.

"Arsenal have a game at Stoke – it is a difficult game – so we have a chance to recover these three points."

Drawing references from their second half performance against Everton, the 35-year-old said that if they can stage a repeat performance, there is no reason why they can't win their next matches.

"If we continue playing like in the second half I think we will win the next game and then the next."
