Augsburg are interested in re-signing Baba Rahman from Chelsea on a short-term loan deal this month, according to Ghanaian outlet GhanaWeb.

The defender, who joined the Blues from the German outfit for £21m in the summer, has thus far failed to make his mark at Stamford Bridge.

Rahman has thus far made just nine appearances in all competitions for Chelsea, with all of those coming under previous manager Jose Mourinho.

The left-back is yet to feature under new boss Guus Hiddink since he took charge of the club last month.

As a result, Augsburg are keen to bring Rahman back to the club where he made 32 appearances in all competitions last season.
