West Ham midfielder Pedro Obiang’s agent has indicated that his client would be a perfect fit for Napoli, but he does not feel the English club will sell in the current transfer window.

The Spaniard joined the Hammers from Sampdoria last summer, but has struggled to feature regularly in Slaven Bilic’s starting eleven, leading to speculation surrounding his future at the club.

He has made just seven Premier League starts this season and the player is keen to play a bigger role at West Ham, but he is still struggling to nail down a place in the side.

Obiang has recently been linked with a move to Napoli during the transfer window, and his agent, Jose Miguel Gonzalez, has tackled the talk of his client moving back to Italy this month.

He admits that a move to Napoli could suit the midfielder, but he insisted that the Serie A outfit are yet to make any contact with the player or West Ham.

Gonzalez told Italian outlet Tutto Mercato: “Napoli are very strong, doing well in the league and are looking for reinforcements in midfield.

“Obiang would be perfect for their needs, but I have not received any calls from Napoli.”

However, the agent is sure that West Ham will not allow Obiang to leave Upton Park this month.

The agent said: "He is unlikely to leave West Ham in January. The club want to keep hold of him, he is happy in London and happy with his team-mates."
