Genoa president Enrico Preziosi is keen for his side to scoop up Aston Villa striker Libor Kozak, a player who has also been linked with Celtic, according to Italian daily Tuttosport.

The Italian outfit have struggled for goals this season, managing only 23 in 20 Serie A games so far, meaning they are looking for another striker to add to their ranks in the current transfer window.

Kozak has experience of playing in Serie A, having turned out for Lazio and Brescia in Italy, moving from Lazio to Aston Villa in 2013.

The 26-year-old has struggled to make an impact at Villa Park, with a lengthy absence through injury playing its part in keeping the Czech Republic international from justifying the €6.5m fee splashed to secure his services.

Genoa could face opposition from Celtic for Kozak, with Bhoys boss Ronny Deila having watched the striker in action for Aston Villa Under-21s last month.
