Celtic manager Ronny Deila wants to see more of Croatian midfielder Ljuban Crepulja before taking a decision on signing him this month.

The Slaven Belupo midfielder is on trial with the Hoops, and is hoping to impress the coaches at Celtic Park in order to earn a contract with the club.




Deila is looking to bring in new players to his squad this month, but revealed that he wants to see more of the midfielder before he decides on whether to offer him a contract with Celtic or pass him on.

He confirmed that the midfielder has been training with his squad and indicated that they might make a decision regarding Crepulja next week.
 


The Celtic boss was asked about the Croat and said in a press conference: “He’s a player we’ve watched a little bit and we want to see more.

“Now he’s training with us and we’ll see during the week what we’ll do."

When asked about the length of his trial period, Deila said: “I don’t know yet, maybe some days, maybe a week.”

The midfielder has made 23 appearances in all competitions for Slaven Belupo this season and has a contract until the summer with the club.
