Lyon are interested in signing RB Leipzig forward Emil Forsberg, who has also been linked with a move to Liverpool this month.

The Swedish forward has been turning heads with his performances in the German second tier this season and is expected to play a key role in Leipzig’s bid to earn promotion to the Bundesliga.




With five goals and four assists to his name this season, Forsberg has attracted attention from clubs across Europe and there is speculation that Liverpool are ready to slap in a bid for the player this month.

However, the Reds are not the only ones after the Swede as according to France Football, Lyon are showing an interest in signing forward from Leipzig during the January transfer window and are considering a move.
 


Lyon have already enquired about the possibility of signing him and could make a play to take him to France this month.

However, Leipzig are unlikely to entertain offers as they have already issued an hands off statement regarding Forsberg and have said that the forward is not for sale.

Forsberg joined Leipzig from Malmo in January last year and has a contract until 2018 with the club.
