Jordan Henderson is delighted with how Liverpool fought back to claim an epic 5-4 win away at Norwich City yesterday, but stressed the side must work on keeping things tight at the back.

Liverpool took the lead in the 18th minute at Carrow Road when Roberto Firmino struck, but were pegged back just ten minutes later with Dieumerci Mbokani converting with a neat backheel.

The Canaries then ensured they would go in ahead at the break when Steven Naismith scored on his debut in the 41st minute.

Liverpool fell 3-1 behind in the 54th minute after Wes Hoolahan struck from the penalty spot, but Henderson put the Reds back in it by scoring just a minute later.

Liverpool pulled ahead 4-3 and looked on course for victory when James Milner scored in the 75th minute, but a crazy injury time period was to await.

First Norwich made it 4-4 in the 92nd minute through Sebastian Bassong. But Liverpool won it in the 95th minute as Adam Lallana hit a volley which hit the ground and bounced in.

Liverpool had won an epic contest 5-4 and Henderson told LFC TV: "There were a lot of ups and downs in the game but overall we have come out with three points.

"Over the last couple of games, the performances have been good but we haven’t got the results."

The Reds skipper was pleased with so many players chipping in with goals, but admits the side need to work on the defensive aspect of their game.

"One thing we’ve got to improve on is sharing the goals among everyone, all of the forward players getting into the box", he said.

"We managed to score some good goals. But we’ve still got a lot of work to do in not conceding goals. We’ll look at that over the next day or two."
