Leeds United have confirmed their Under-21s side to lock horns with Barnsley, with Tommaso Bianchi not included in the side.

It has been claimed that Bianchi is on the verge of returning to Italy to link up with Ascoli and the speculation will only increase given his omission from the team today.

Leeds include several first team players in their starting eleven as boss Steve Evans bids to keep them sharp.

Midfielder Casper Sloth, another linked with the exit door, plays, while winger Jordan Botaka is also handed a start against Barnsley.

Up front, striker Lee Erwin is given game time as he bids to stay prepared for possible first team action.

Evans will no doubt be keeping a close eye on proceedings with the Under-21s, while it does appear Bianchi's time at Elland Road could now be on the verge of coming to an end.
