Former AC Milan star Alexandre Pato has expressed his eagerness to play for Premier League champions Chelsea ahead of his proposed loan move from Brazilian outfit Corinthians.

The 26-year-old arrived in London earlier today, declaring his intention to play for the Blues, though the London-based side are yet to confirm the deal.

There is reported to be a clause in the deal which would contain the provision of making the move permanent after the loan deal comes to an end at the end of the season, if Pato can impress.

Describing Chelsea as his new home, the Brazilian said that he felt the need to play and was thankful to the Premier League side and their fans for their support.

"I am so happy – Chelsea is my new home", Pato said on Sky Sports News HQ shortly after he arrived in the UK.

"Thanks Chelsea for the support and thanks for my fans and my Instagram, Twitter and Facebook followers.

"I need to play. I don't know what to say because I am so happy. I am very anxious. I want to know my new friends, the new players, and the team.

"I really want to play for Chelsea."

Pato's arrival in London coincides with the departure of Brazilian midfielder Ramires who joined Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning after having spent five-and-a-half years at Stamford Bridge.
