Leeds United boss Steve Evans feels that the FA Cup is a "magical" competition and the closer a club get towards the final the more exciting it becomes.

The Peacocks have a fourth round match against Bolton Wanderers to negotiate this Saturday and the 53-year-old manager is keen to see his team put out their fellow Championship side to be involved in the fifth round draw that takes place on Sunday.

What will be even more motivating will be the fact that the Whites might be playing their next round match at their home in front of their fans, Evans feels.

And given the kind of form that his side have been in at home, winning four and drawing two of their last six matches, Evans is confident that they can achieve that once again if their can negotiate Bolton on Saturday as he believes the Whites are now in the process of making Elland Road a fortress.

“The FA Cup is a magical cup competition, though. I hear managers and head coaches at all levels say they want to rest players. When it gets to this stage, you want to win", Evans said to LUTV.

“We want as many games at Elland Road as we can and we want Elland Road to become a fortress.

“It’s starting to look a little bit like that now – it’s not complete and performances aren’t quite where we want them to be – but it’s getting like that.

“I want us to be in the draw on Sunday and have an opportunity to be at home at Elland Road against whoever.

“Give us the worst ranked team or give us the best ranked team at Elland Road with 35-36,000 supporters and I’d fancy our chances."
