Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson feels that while the Reds fielded a team full of youngsters in their FA Cup tie with West Ham today, the Hammers had a side packed with players who would have been in their strongest team.

Jurgen Klopp's men enjoyed the better of the game at Anfield and the better of the chances, with West Ham needing to rely on the heroics of goalkeeper Darren Randolph at times.

Randolph made a superb triple save from Christian Benteke and Joe Allen late on, keeping West Ham in the game and earning the Hammers a replay with it finishing 0-0.

For Lawrenson, Liverpool bossed a side that fielded almost their strongest team.

Assessing the match on LFC TV, Lawrenson said: "We reckon that seven of the West Ham starting team would normally be in their best team, which wasn't the case for us as we know."

West Ham fielded first teamers such as James Tomkins, Aaron Cresswell, Winston Reid, Alex Song, Angelo Ogbonna, Enner Valencia and Dimitri Payet.

Despite Liverpool enjoying the better of the game, West Ham may start the replay as favourites if Klopp again goes with the youngsters, combined with home advantage for the Hammers.
