Former Arsenal forward Andrey Arshavin admits that he could quit football after terminating his contract with Russian outfit Kuban Krasnodar.

The veteran Russian forward joined Kuban from Zenit Saint Petersburg last summer but only made a handful of apperances for the club before taking a decision to leave them.

The 34-year-old terminated his contract with Kuban earlier today and the Russian admits if he doesn’t join another club soon, he could take the decision to retire from football altogether.

Arshavin was quoted as saying by Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset: “If I get one, I will study the offer, otherwise I might quit football.”

The Russian earned his name in England during his stint with Arsenal, where he made 144 appearances for the club, scoring 31 goals and providing 46 assists for his team-mates.
