Liverpool linked Denis Cheryshev is close to agreeing a deal to join Sevilla on loan from Real Madrid until the end of the season.

The Russian has been nothing more than a fringe player at Real Madrid, and his future at the club has been a source of speculation since last summer, with clubs such as Liverpool being linked with a move for him.

He has played just 117 minutes of football this season and his career has been in limbo for some time now, but Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane said yesterday that Cheryshev will be allowed to leave the club to allow him to play more football.

And his future seems to be in Spain despite interest from Liverpool as according to Marca, Sevilla are close to sealing a deal to sign the player from Real Madrid for the rest of the season.

Cheryshev has already spent time on loan at Villarreal and could be moving to another Spanish club in the next few hours to rekindle his fledgling career at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.
