Former Celtic striker Andy Walker says if he was in charge at Celtic he would remove Ronny Deila from his position as manager tomorrow.

Walker, on pundit duty for Sky Sports, watched Celtic go down to a 2-1 defeat away at Aberdeen this evening in a top of the table Premiership game.

The Bhoys were in top in the early stages, dominating possession and laying siege to Aberdeen's goal at Pittodrie at points. However, they struggled to make the breakthrough.

And then out of nothing Jonny Hayes hit a superb long range strike which beat Craig Gordon in the Celtic goal in the 31st minute. He hit his shot on the half volley and it appeared to catch Gordon off guard.

It was followed up by a header from a corner from Simon Church just six minutes later, which put Aberdeen 2-0 up and meant he scored on his debut.

The stuffing was knocked out of Celtic, who never looked like getting back into the game and had a good piece of individual skill from Leigh Griffiths to thank for a consolation in injury time at the end of the game.

Walker laid into Deila after the final whistle and said on Sky Sports that he would axe the Norwegian tomorrow.

Asked if Celtic would have a better chance of winning the Premiership title with someone else in charge, Walker bluntly replied: "If it was up to me I'd make the change tomorrow morning."

Walker also suggested that Deila had done "nothing special" during his spell at Celtic and suggested the Sky presenter David Tanner and co-pundit Hans Gillhaus could go into Paradise and do exactly the same standard of job as the Norwegian.

The result means Aberdeen have cut Celtic's lead at the top of the Premiership to just three points.
