Arsenal winger Joel Campbell has highlighted the competition for places at the Emirates Stadium by insisting that he tries to give his best in every match so that he can be considered for the next match.

The Costa Rica international appeared to be heading out of north London until October, before a string of injuries to first-team players handed him an opportunity to impress Arsene Wenger.




The 23-year-old grabbed the opportunity with both hand hands and impressed the Gunners’ faithful with consistent performances.

Campbell has scored three goal and has provided four assists in 22 appearances for Wenger’s side this season, and the winger has impressed game by game.
 


The 23-year-old underlined that it is very difficult to get a chance to play for Arsenal and feels that every minute is important.

The Costa Rica international faces competition from Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for a starting berth and insists that he tries to give his best to make it easier for him to be considered for the next match.

Speaking in an interview with Arsenal Player, Campbell said: “This is a big team for me and it is very difficult to get a chance to play. So every minute is important.

“I try to give my best, to run as much as I can, to score and to help the team in everything they need, so that would make it easier to be considered for the next match.”
