Superb Positioning – Starlet Dominic Ball Impresses Rangers Manager

Rangers boss Mark Warburton has stated that he was “really pleased” with Dominic Ball’s display in the 1-0 win over Raith Rovers last night.

The defender, who joined the Gers on a season-long loan deal from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer, put in a good shift at Stark's Park as Andy Halliday’s goal on the stroke of half time helped Rangers to consolidate their place at the top of the Scottish Championship table.

And Warburton praised the performance of Ball, with the manager making special mention of the 20-year-old’s positional sense against Rovers.

“I also thought Dom Ball was excellent – he was neat in everything that he did and his positioning was good too, and we are really pleased with him”, he told Rangers TV.

Ball, who is a product of Tottenham’s youth system, is yet to make a senior appearance for Spurs.

The centre-back has thus far made 17 appearances in all competitions for Rangers, with 13 of those coming in the league.

The youngster, whose present contract with Tottenham is set to expire next summer, spent the second half of last season on loan at League Two side Cambridge United.
