West Ham boss Slaven Bilic has revealed that he is yet to decide whether new signing Emmanuel Emenike will feature against Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Hammers snapped up the striker from Fenerbahce on a loan deal until the end of the season during the January transfer window.

With Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho currently injured, and Mauro Zarate leaving for Fiorentina, West Ham are thin on the attacking front.

But Bilic explained that he will take a decision about Emenike’s involvement at St Mary’s Stadium after watching him in training today, with the Nigerian international having arrived yesterday.

"Emenike arrived yesterday after getting his work permit, we will watch him and make a decision about his involvement", he said at a press conference.

Emenike, who spent the first half of the current season on loan at Abu Dhabi outfit Al-Ain, is contracted with Fenerbahce until 2018.

The forward scored nine goals in 37 matches for Nigeria before announcing his international retirement in October 2015.

West Ham, who have the option to make Emenike’s transfer permanent in the summer, are currently sixth in the Premier League with 39 points from 24 games.
