Rangers boss Mark Warburton is of the opinion that Kenny Miller’s training regime sets a great example to the younger players at the club.

The 36-year-old striker has been in fine form in the current campaign, scoring 12 goals and providing seven assists in 25 games.

Miller, who signed a contract extension with Rangers in November, won the Scottish Championship Player of the Month for January after scoring five goals in as many league games last month.

And Warburton feels the youngsters at Rangers look up to Miller as to how the forward keeps fit despite being in the twilight of his long career.

“The quality and the way in which he trains day in and day out is a great example to the younger players”, he said at a press conference.

“Listen to Nathan Oduwa [he has left the club], Dominic Ball and Gedion [Zelalem], they watch the way Kenny trains every day.

“At 36 that’s all credit to him.”

Miller, who joined Rangers for the third time in 2014, has made 173 appearances in total for the Gers, scoring 75 times and setting up 40 goals.

He also scored 18 times in 70 games for Scotland between 2001 and 2013.

Miller also counts Hibernian, Celtic and Derby County amongst his former employers.
