Liverpool have announced their starting eleven and substitutes for this afternoon's Premier League fixture against Sunderland at Anfield.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp, who is absent from the dugout today due to illness, again chooses to play without a recognised striker with Roberto Firmino the most advanced of a clutch of midfielders. Adam Lallana will look to help Firmino provide an attacking threat, while James Milner, Emre Can, Jordan Henderson and Joe Allen also play.
At the back, Liverpool have Mamadou Sakho and Dejan Lovren in the heart of defence, ahead of goalkeeper Simon Mignolet. On the bench, the Reds can turn to Christian Benteke and Daniel Sturridge if needed.
Liverpool head into the match sitting in a lowly eighth spot in the Premier League table and eleven points off a top four spot. Failure to take all three points against the Black Cats could spell the end of their top four challenge.
