Leeds United head coach Steve Evans admits he was not impressed with Nottingham Forest's brand of football after they beat his Whites side 1-0 at Elland Road today.

The two sides spent the opening 45 minutes working each other out, with little in the way of clear cut chances, although Liam Bridcutt had a shot from around 20 yards out, which fizzed over the bar, and Marco Silvestri made a save from Nelson Oliveira.

It did not take long for Forest to take the lead in the second half as they pulled ahead on the hour mark.

Forest broke quickly, with a cross headed at goal by Oliveira, whose effort was pushed weakly by Silvestri and went in off the post.

Leeds huffed and puffed, but could not find a way through a resolute Forest backline, leaving Whites head coach Evans disappointed, although he took the positives from his side's performance.

"Disappointing. I thought we played well in spells. Did we have that good enough quality in the final third? No, that was the question", Evans said on LUTV.

"We looked at the goal and it looked marginally offside, but we're not blaming the officials", Evans continued.

"The difference sometimes is a striker. Mirco [Antenucci] didn't have his best day, but not through lack of effort."

And Evans took a pop at the brand of football played by Nottingham Forest, indicating it is painful for fans to watch.

"I would rather go to the dentist than go and watch Nottingham Forest every week!" Evans added.
