Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino feels his players are full of belief over what they can achieve this season after a victory over Watford yesterday moved Spurs up to second spot in the table and reinforced their title credentials.

Pochettino's men are five points behind leaders Leicester City and increasingly being seen as dark horses to win the Premier League title.

They handled the pressure at White Hart Lane on Saturday to edge out Watford 1-0 and continue their fine form.

And Pochettino lifted the lid on the belief now flowing through his players as they consider what they can achieve in the current campaign, with the title now something an increasing number of Spurs stars see as possible.

"You can see in their eyes, the feeling, the energy, that they believe", Pochettino was quoted as saying by ITV.

"In football belief is the most important word. If we believe, anything can happen. I believe in my squad and they believe too in the way we play.

"This synergy is very important for the future.

"But it is better not to speak too much, only to show, to work hard", he added.

Next up for Spurs is a visit to face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium next Sunday, before they then return to European duty with Fiorentina their round of 32 tie in the Europa League.
