Chelsea are continuing to chase Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva, who they have identified as a key summer target.

The Blues are set to allow experienced centre-back John Terry to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer when his contract expires.

Chelsea want an equally adept replacement and, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, are continuing to explore a deal for former AC Milan defender Silva.

The Brazilian currently turns out for Paris Saint-Germain and is a regular at the Parc des Princes, making it less than clear whether the French champions will allow him to leave the club.

This season the Brazil international has clocked up 29 appearances in all competitions for PSG in the current campaign.
